Ordering & Payments
Can I place an order by telephone?
To ensure absolute security and order accuracy, we do not accept phone orders, checks, or money orders. All purchases must be completed directly through our secure online checkout system.
What types of payment do you accept?
We partner with PayPal to provide a fully secure, state-of-the-art encrypted checkout process. Through PayPal, you can pay using any major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) or via a bank transfer.

• Note: You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase.
• Because transactions are processed securely on PayPal's platform, Fairy Freckles Studios never sees, handles, or stores any of your financial information.

Do you ever have sales or special promotions?
Yes! While we promise never to barrage your inbox, we do occasionally send out worthwhile, exclusive offers. You can opt-in to our mailing list during checkout or sign up for our studio letter directly on our website.

• Important: To protect your privacy, we utilize a double opt-in system. If you receive a validation email, you must click the link to confirm your address, or you will not receive our updates. We never share or sell your email address. Ever.

Shipping & Delivery
How do you ship, and when will I receive my order?
Every piece in our collection is individually handcrafted at the time of your order. Our fulfillment process consists of two phases:

• Production Time: Standard orders ship within 3–5 business days of receipt. Large orders may require additional studio time; we will contact you directly if an extension is needed.
• Transit Time: We ship most packages via US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail, which is fast and completely trackable. Transit typically takes an additional 3–5 business days depending on your location.

As soon as your item leaves our studio, we will automatically email you with your tracking information.
Do you accept international orders?
We do not ship internationally directly from our studio. However, we welcome international buyers who utilize a U.S.-based package forwarding service. While we gladly ship to any valid domestic forwarding address, please note that we do not endorse or recommend specific forwarding providers.

What materials are used to make your signs, plaques, and clocks?
Our products are proudly crafted using premium composite wood (MDF) manufactured entirely in the USA. MDF is a dense, uniform material widely preferred in fine cabinetry, decorative trim, and high-end furniture due to its exceptional performance:

• Climate Resilience: Unlike raw lumber, premium MDF is highly stable and significantly less prone to warping, shrinking, or cracking when exposed to variations in humidity.
• Eco-Friendly: It is made from sustainably recycled wood products.
• Certified Safe: Our material is 100% CARB certified (California Air Resources Board's airborne toxic control measure).

Dimensions: Our standard clocks and signs are produced on 1/4-inch thick stock.
Can your products be used outdoors?
Our designs are built and intended exclusively for indoor use. If you choose to display them outdoors, they must be placed in a highly weather-protected environment (such as a fully covered porch or sunroom) and kept strictly out of direct sunlight to avoid premature weathering, fading, or moisture damage.
Clock Operations & Warranty
What makes your clocks run?
We equip our clocks with high-quality quartz movements that operate with a smooth, continuous sweep. They are virtually silent and do not make a distracting ticking noise.

• Important Note on Setup: When you insert a fresh battery, the hands will not visibly "jump" or tick forward. Instead, they advance at a slow, completely smooth rate. It may take several moments before you notice movement. Please allow a few minutes to verify operation.
• Power Requirements: All clocks require one AA battery (not included).
• Aesthetics: Our clock faces are uncovered (no glass layer). Hand styles vary across designs, and most feature an artisan, hand-applied distressed finish.
• Rigorous Testing: To guarantee accuracy, every single clock movement undergoes continuous testing for 30 consecutive days in our studio before it is cleared for packaging. We verify that every clock is in perfect working order before it ships. Clocks make the perfect gift!

What is your clock warranty?
Our time movements are backed by a one-year guarantee. In the rare event that a movement develops an issue within one year of your purchase date, please email us via our Contact Page. Please include your order number, purchase date, and a brief description of the item.

• If a replacement movement is required under warranty, we will gladly ship a new movement along with simple installation instructions at no charge.
• Individual replacement movements are also available for purchase on our website at any time (Product ID: RM7906).

Returns, Exchanges & Variations
What is your return policy?
Because each product is individually handmade at the time of your order, we ask that you consider your purchase carefully. If you do need to make a return, we offer a 15-day return window from the date of delivery under the following guidelines:

• Prior Authorization Required: You must email us with the specific details of your request to obtain a return authorization. We cannot accept or process returns without prior written approval.
• Shipping & Costs: The buyer is responsible for all return shipping fees. Because our products are fragile, you must invest time and care to repackage the item securely. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping method; items damaged during return transit due to poor packaging cannot be fully refunded.
• Exclusions: Customized or personalized products are strictly non-refundable.
• Refund Processing: Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method within 72 hours of our studio receiving and inspecting the returned item.

My clock isn't moving. Is it defective?
Because we test every clock for 30 continuous days prior to shipping, true movement failures are exceptionally rare. Nine times out of ten, a non-moving clock is caused by a minor battery or physical clearance issue. Before requesting a return, please complete the following quick checklist:

1. Check the expiration date on your battery to ensure it is fresh and fully charged.
2. Verify that the battery is firmly and correctly seated in the terminal housing.
3. Inspect the clock hands from a side profile to ensure they are not slightly bent, touching each other, or obstructed by the face design, which would prevent them from moving freely.

Why does my item look slightly different from the website picture?
Every piece we make is an individual, handmade creation, meaning distinct and beautiful variations in color, texture, and finish are entirely natural.

• While we work tirelessly to display our product color values accurately on screen, individual computer monitors and device screens display shades and hues differently.
• Slight variations between the online image and your physical product are normal and do not constitute a defect in craftsmanship.

Privacy & Intellectual Property
What is your privacy policy?
At Fairy Freckles Studios, we respect your privacy completely. We do not share, lease, or sell your personal information with third parties—we never have, and we never will.

• You will notice that our website is entirely free from third-party advertising. We do not partner with Google Ads or any external marketers, ensuring your browsing experience remains entirely private and focused.
• We do not track you across the web, and you will not see annoying retargeting ads popping up in your browser after visiting us.
• Standard functional cookies are required to process online transactions securely through checkout, but you can easily clear these at any time via your browser settings.
• If you join our newsletter list, you can seamlessly unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of our emails.

Can I use your website images or product designs for alternative uses?
No. Purchasing a physical product does not transfer a license, nor does it authorize the use of our imagery, graphics, or designs for any personal, commercial, or alternative purpose.

• Every design featured on our website is an original work created exclusively in-house by our studio staff and is officially registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. The images used on our products are not AI generated.  We vigorously protect our intellectual property and actively pursue legal channels against all violators.
• Unauthorized use includes—but is not limited to—taking screen captures of our website, scanning our products digitally, photographing items for reproduction, or applying our artwork to decals, apparel, home textiles (pillows, curtains), or digital downloads. Additionally, we are active, protective members of the eBay Verified Rights of Ownership (VeRO) program.
